Questions people ask

Frequently asked questions

Does MyCareBuddy replace CaringBridge?

Not really: they do different jobs. CaringBridge keeps a wide circle informed and supportive. MyCareBuddy is where the few people doing the care keep medications, appointments and documents. A family can post updates on CaringBridge and run the care itself from MyCareBuddy.

Is MyCareBuddy free like CaringBridge?

No. CaringBridge is free and funded by donations. MyCareBuddy is a subscription for the whole Care Circle, with a 7-day free trial; the price is in the table above.

Who can see a MyCareBuddy Care Circle?

Only the patient and the people invited into the Care Circle, plus anyone a member sends an Emergency Card link to (the link expires and can be withdrawn). It is meant for those who need the medical details, not for everyone who would like to hear how things are going.
